Adult Entertainment Application Guidelines

To qualify, one must submit, in part, the following information. (Complete Adult Entertainment permit requirements per Section 5.88 and 5.89 of the Palm Desert Municipal Code)

  1. Pay specific attention to pages 113-117 of the Palm Desert Municipal Code pertaining to adult entertainment - these pages outline permit requirements.
  2. Photo (two 2 inch photos) of applicant and any management/supervisory employees of adult entertainment establishment. Same requirements apply to any adult entertainer submitting adult entertainer application.
  3. Livescan (fingerprints) of applicant and any management/supervisory employees of adult entertainment establishment. Same applies for any adult entertainer submitting adult entertainer application.
  4. Contact Sheriff's Department at (760) 836-1600 for an appointment to obtain livescan (fingerprints) to be submitted with your application for adult entertainment permit.
  5. Once all of the above is completed, the application should be submitted to the Business License Department at Palm Desert City Hall along with the required fee(s) listed below.
  6. Permit and business license certificates (if necessary) will be held until the Sheriff's Department has completed its investigation, Application should be approved/denied within 6-8 weeks.
  7. Fees associated with adult entertainment permits are as follows:
    1. Adult Entertainer Permit  - $100.00 ($25.00 annual renewal)
    2. Adult Entertainment Establishment Permit - $500.00 ($100.00 annual renewal)
    3. Business License, if applicable - will be determined by gross receipts and fall within either Category "A" or "C" of the Fee Schedule
